Today, Faith in America responded to the news that Edith Windsor has passed away.

Washington, D.C.—Today, Faith in America mourns the news that Edith Windsor has passed away.

“Edith spent her lifetime as a leader and a hero who worked tirelessly for all Americans to have equal rights” said Mitchell Gold, Co-Founder of Faith in America. “We owe a great deal of gratitude to her and her work as our movement continues into the 21st century. Future generations will know her sacrifice as the reason for their equal rights and treatment. The world is a better place for having to opportunity to learn from Edith.

Faith in America also recognizes the incredible team that Roberta Kaplan, Faith in America Board of Directors member and counsel for Edith Windsor, made in these seminal achievements for equality.
