It's so refreshing that there are at least some Catholic hierarchy who support LGBTQs as being respectable/loveable creations of God. Those denying same need to be removed from Church administrative positions.

I am an Anglican priest and am grateful to the Catholic Bishops and others who are standing on the side of the vulnerable. Thank you. It makes a great difference when Church leadership show acceptance and value of all people, regardless of sexual orientation, gender, colour and any other differences that are used to marginalise others. Perhaps it’s time to incorporate this into discernment process and training of potential clergy.

Archbishop Paul Coakley has sent out a statement condemning the gay community. Sending him a letter asking him to please sign the initiative and join the others in sharing love and hope into our world.
This is a very important message. Our church must seal out for all those oppressed by bigotry and unwillingness to hear and understand the word of God.

Having worked for a time in University Chaplaincy, I can attest to the fact that it can be very difficult for a young person to discuss issues connected with their sexuality, not least because they expect a judgemental attitude from the church.
